CPD with Impact: Where to get hands-on training at Bett

There is wide recognition among schools and colleges that Continued Professional Development (CPD) for educators is invaluable, and clearly linked to student outcomes.

Nonetheless, teachers face very real barriers to taking part in high-quality and inspiring CPD. Chief among these are:

Just as we wouldn’t expect students to thrive alone in an empty classroom reading from a whiteboard, we can’t expect teachers to learn and grow professionally through multiple-choice questions and recorded seminars.

A BETTer way to get CPD

At Bett, we’ve designed our event to give educators an unparalled three days that will inspire them, re-energize them for the weeks and months ahead, and shape their approach in the classroom. That includes training.

CPD is integral at the Bett show, with the show winning Event of the Year at the 2023 CPD Awards. Our Teaching and Learning stage can help if you’re looking for specific classroom skills or want to see live demos of the latest and greatest in EdTech at our Tech in Action stage. The Ahead stages are dedicated entirely to the opportunities and challenges in Higher Education, while we have esports experts and exhibits to shed light on this growing trend.

This year’s Tech User Lab sessions and TableTalks are filling up fast, as educators seize the opportunity to discuss and debate today’s challenges and opportunities with the foremost experts in the field: their peers. At Bett, you can find a Professional Learning Network with a wealth of knowledge, experience and approaches.

Even attending the content streams throughout the show can be enough to gain CPD. In particular, the Teaching and Learning stage is a goldmine for professional development opportunities, with over 120 hours of options for CPD. You can hear about successful deployment of AI in schools from leaders at Shireland Collegiate Academy or how King’s College London is thinking about the future of assessment. Our sessions equip educators with advice they can put into place in their classroom, and the chance to build networks with other professionals – sharing experiences, finding solutions and building relationships.

Certification is easy too. After the event, simply email us with your registration number and events you attended, and our team will email you your certifications.

To attend TableTalks or Tech Users Lab workshops you will need to pre-register here, as soon as possible.

See you (in person) at Bett!
