14:00 – 14:45 – Improve School Outcomes with Predictive Analytics (K12)
Education Institutions around the world are under pressure to deliver better outcomes for students, whether improved grades, better graduation rates, higher scores in high-stakes testing, or more students advancing to postsecondary education. Predictive Analytics for Education can provide teachers with data to inform instructional plans on an individual student level, school counselors with early warning indicators to help target effective interventions and get students the help they need, principals with visibility into positive or negative trends across a school, and superintendents with powerful tools to support timely decisions. For example, Tacoma Public Schools in Washington State was able to increase graduation rates from 55% to 82.6% using predictive analytics tools based on Microsoft cloud technologies. Attend this round table session to learn how you can work with Microsoft to help customers deliver better outcomes with Microsoft Predictive Analytics for Education.
15:00 – 15:45 - Help drive Safe and Secure Learning online and in the classroom (K12/HE)
Safety and security must be top priorities for any primary or secondary education administration, both in the classroom and online. School environments often don't have a lot of technology resources dedicated to security, but have some of the richest personal information, including social security numbers, birth dates, and, potentially, medical and financial information. Online fraudsters use tactics like phishing mails and ransomware to steal personal information or make demands to benefit financially. Additionally, ensuring the physical safety of students, teachers, and staff on school campuses has unfortunately become a hot topic in many countries. Technology can help schools address both online security and physical safety, providing a safer, more secure environment in the classroom and online. Attend this round table session to learn how you can work with Microsoft to help customers provide a safer, more secure learning environment in the classroom and online.
16:00 – 16:45 - Help drive Student Success throughout the Student Lifecycle (HE)
We live in an amazing time of technological progress. There is no historical precedent for the accelerating pace of innovation. Digital transformation is reshaping every aspect of our lives – how we live, learn, and work. This transformation impacts the skills students need to succeed both in the workplace of today and in a future where the roles they fill may not even exist yet and where they will be tasked with solving the most complex issues of any generation in history. The implications for higher learning are huge. Students need to ensure they are gaining the necessary skills and colleges and universities need to transform so they can deliver the best student outcomes. Microsoft and our partners provide higher education institutions with end-to-end- student lifecycle and success management from engagement and monitoring to remediation, from recruitment through graduation and beyond to improve outcomes for all students across the student lifecycle. Attend this round table session to learn how you can work with Microsoft to help empower institutions with tools to improve student engagement, experiences, and outcomes.
