  • Self Review Framework / ICT Mark
The Self-review Framework (SRF) provides a structure for reviewing your school’s use of technology and its impact on school improvement. It is designed to help you review your use of technology in a structured way, which will in turn help inform your overall school improvement strategy and plans. Additionally, because the Self-review Framework complements the inspection frameworks, its use can provide compelling evidence in support of your school’s inspection profile. The purpose of the Self-review Framework is to support school improvement through a reflective practice that allows schools to measure and improve their provision against a well-researched and evidenced set of criteria such that pupils become digitally literate and are, ‘able to use and express themselves and develop their ideas through information and communications technology’. The Framework is designed to support all schools, and all of the aspects are equally relevant to infant schools, special schools and early years settings as to mainstream primary or secondary schools. The Self-review Framework is periodically revised following consultation with teachers, head teachers, and all leading stakeholders. A nationally constituted committee oversees the revision and maintenance of the Framework. This ensures that it remains up to date and relevant with changes in quality standards, practices and use of technology to fully meets the needs of the large number of schools that use it to improve their provision for all pupils at all stages of their learning. The current version was made live in September 2018.
