How do you ensure that every child and young person with SEND can achieve their potential at school? This panel discussion will consider the potential influence of external support such as that offered by Local Authorities allied with school improvement plans. It will suggest the benefits of facilitating greater links between mainstream and special schools. It will explore how to identify and meet teacher training needs in relation to SEND; identify and respond to any gaps in training and resources and thus effectively build the skills of teachers and SENCOs by promoting best practice.
