How to prepare young people with skills for the future

25-Jan-2019
The Bett Arena
21 Century Skills
Nesta is committed to helping young people and their educators prepare for a future of work that looks very different from what it is today. Skills like creativity, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, confidence and resilience will be more important than ever. This session will share insights we have learnt from our research (such as The Future of Skills: Employment in 2030, Which Digital Skills Do You Really Need?) and from efforts to develop toolkits for teachers and investment in an apprenticeship platform for students. At the end of the session, you will be able to identify what skills young people will need most to succeed in the future labour market and begin exploring how schools and teachers can help them develop and strengthen these skills.
