Robot Factory is the company developed PINGPONG, an unique singular module based robot platform can build hundreds to thousands of robot with easy assembly, fun activity and affordable price.
So many robots have the shape of car just have driving motion. The others such as crawling or walking robot platform are expensive, so complicated and require too much time on assembly. Therefore, it is hard to find a robot platform, which have huge extensibility in shapes and motions but have affordable price and easy assembly. This is the background story of the robot ‘PINGPONG’ developed by Robot Factory.
Starting from a fundamental idea of creating a robot which is fun and easy to operate yet at an affordable price with plentiful extensibilities, Robot Factory present a new paradigm on the robot history, that is a single module based robot platform.
PingPong is a modular robot with singular module based platform. Because each Cube has BLE5.0 CPU, battery, motor and sensors, with combination of Cubes and links, user is able to build any robot model they want, within several minutes. Robot Factory overcome many obstacles to realize this unique robot platform to have running, crawling and walking with just a single module. Besides synchronization problem, they solved Cube grouping issues, the charging problems, both of velocity and absolute angle motor control technology, older version smart phone compatibility, group assembly problems and bi-controllability with smart device and IR remote controller. In addition, they achieved a technology controlling hundreds of Cubes with single smart device, by successive Bluetooth networking technology.
As a result, they can release a new robot platform which is easy and fun with affordable price and unlimited extensibility.
While PINGPONG is getting its unveiling at 2019 BETT show in London and 2019 Spielwarenmesse (toy exhibition in Nuremberg), it will be launching on Kickstarter at Feb. 2019. Robot Factory has a goal the PINGPONG to have a position like as Arduino or LEGO on robot playing, education, makers area
