Alison first presented at the Bett show over twenty years ago when she shared her classroom uses of a cutting-edge maths technology ' the graphics calculator! Since then she has worked as a teacher educator, academic researcher and policy adviser on the thorny issues of designing, using and evaluating educational technologies in real-life settings (i.e. classrooms, not a laboratory!). With her feet firmly rooted in classrooms, Alison now supports educational technology companies to understand how to access, generate and communicate research findings in ways that involve learners and educators with one overarching goal ' to build better edtech together.
