Dr Lesley Crane

Learning & Development Consortium Coordinator, Heart of Worcestershire College

Lesley is a highly experienced hands-on consultant, educator, project manager and author specialising in organisational learning, knowledge and innovation, and a focus on technologies.

My aim is to help organisations realise tangible and sustainable improvement across people, business process and business system; to identify and solve real problems; embed innovation as culture; and help to develop the full potential of leaders, managers and workforce.

I have experience working across a broad spectrum of sectors and industries, both public and private, including energy, defence, finance, education, culture, aviation, automotive, and many more.  Complimenting my professional experience, I have a degree in Applied Psychology and a PhD in Organizational Psychology, and am consequently thoroughly grounded in contemporary theories of adult learning, knowledge management, innovation and leadership. Additionally, I have designed and presented innovation courses and educational experiences (e.g., Institute of Directors, Knowledge Management Institute), and am an enthusiastic speaker at conferences (e.g., Association of Colleges, Institute of Directors National Conference), and educator. Working in partnership with the Heart of Worcestershire College, Lesley set up the new national Learning and Development Consortium for Colleges earlier this year.
