Welcome back Sir Ken
Keynote speaker at Bett 2017
Whose is the most viewed TED Talk and most attended Bett Arena Session? Sir Ken Robinson’s. And what’s one of the most critical issues of our time? How to transform the nation’s troubled educational system. In which case, we’re delighted to announce Sir Ken Robinson as keynote speaker at Bett 2017.
Having enlightened, educated, inspired and amused us back in 2015, we’re on the edge of our seats in anticipation of what he has to say about the current state of affairs, in which standardised testing businesses are raking in huge profits, while schools everywhere are really feeling the strain (which doesn’t seem remotely fair).
‘Creative schools: The grassroots revolution that’s transforming education’ is sure to inspire teachers, parents and policy makers alike to rethink the real value and purpose of education. After all, as Sir Ken pointed out at Bett 2015, ‘our job is not to teach the national curriculum, it’s to teach our children.’
Sir Ken Robinson will be giving his keynote on Friday 27th January at 16.30 – 17.15 in the Bett Arena.
More keynotes: Heston Blumenthal
Internationally famous for his award winning, 3 Michelin starred The Fat Duck in Berkshire, Heston Blumenthal is considered to be one of the best and most influential chefs of his generation. Completely self-taught, he has pushed the boundaries of a traditional kitchen and changed the way people cook and think about eating.
Be the next game changer
We define a game changer as 'an individual, event or product which results in a significant shift in how people behave or what's possible.'
There’s no reason this couldn’t apply to you.
Bett is your annual opportunity to experiment with the latest technology, hear from inspirational figures and experts in the industry and meet your peers from far and wide (as in literally around the world).
Quite the field trip (for you)
There’s one thing that’s always the same at Bett, and that’s the buzz throughout the show. This is down to the sheer variety of experiences on offer for everyone involved.
