FOCUS AND CHALLENGES

Established in 2012 in Edmonton, Canada, Showbie is a paperless classroom app that helps teachers and students be more creative and productive in their approach to completing and grading assignments. With a team of young and enthusiastic people, Showbie is quickly becoming a green alternative for classrooms. There is no more unnecessary printing, as all assignments and homework are easily accessible for reviewing and grading in the app. Ranked as one of the top selling education apps for the iPad, Showbie currently has over 500,000 users in the UK and 2.2M users in 136 countries worldwide. The company is looking to accelerate growth in the number of users across Europe and needed to identify the most effective route to increase its presence in the UK education market.

THE OBJECTIVE:

Rapidly increase student and teacher usage of Showbie in the UK and Europe.

THE BETT SOLUTION

After exhibiting at Bett for the first time in 2015, Showbie returned in 2016 with greater knowledge of how to present the company in this exciting environment. Showbie booked a bigger stand that was centrally located with 3 open sides, and they held hourly presentations of their paperless app. This was successful in attracting high visitor numbers.

Working closely with the Bett team, the team at Showbie was very confident about the stand design, PR and marketing activity they created going into the show. This teamwork has helped the company increase the effectiveness of its marketing activity in the UK and Europe, leading to great results and a very positive experience at the show.
